The Flood, Noah, humanity in a state of shock and the hope of a new beginning: these are the main subjects of a ballet that is more symbolic than narrative, in which Malandain’s style, so expressive and poignant, embodies the will and strength to ‘liquidate the past and start from zero drawing on new energies’, both collective and musical.

Thierry Malandain has been director of the National Choreographic Centre of Biarritz since 1998. With his troupe he wins prizes and enjoys success from Paris to Moscow, from Berlin to Havana, with pieces that are often burlesque or philosophical.
