Dancers and researchers Jérôme Brabant and Maud Pizon revive the exotic dances of American modern dance trailblazers Ted Shawn and Ruth Saint-Denis. Decked out in sound adornments, their choreographic recital sits halfway between the dance conference and the totem dance, dance’s history and current developments.

A native from La Réunion, Jérôme Brabant founded the Compagnie L’Octogonale in 2011, with the aim of combining reflection and a spiritual dimension. Maud Pizon is a dancer and movement notator.
