With inextricably combined gestures, sounds and movements, this new as yet unnamed piece attempts to translate on stage the thousand and one faces of a city: Marseille. Somewhere between Homer for the Mediterranean and Francis Ponge for the disequilibrium, Georges Appaix offers snippets of stories like clues in a treasure hunt.

A graduate of the École Nationale Supérieure des Arts et Métiers and a saxophonist when the mood takes him, he discovered dance and attended workshops led by Odile Duboc. He formed his Marseille-based company, La Liseuse, in 1984, bringing dancers, actors and musicians together.
