ÉRIC OBERDORFF
Compagnie Humaine
Un autre rêve américain

In Un autre rêve américain, the goal of the young choreographer Éric Oberdorff’s creation is clearly to set his dance in a counterculture tradition. The glorious successful poses of golden boys are replaced with the collapsing bodies of dropouts and society’s rejects left behind by the dreamed American way of life. He uses a delicate rounded body-language which is suddenly electrified by uncontrollable fits of noise and fury, close to “rock and roll” spirit.

Éric Oberdorff founded the Compagnie Humaine in 2002 and since then has presented a form of dance using contact and counter-weight originated from his practice of martial arts.
