Groupe Grenade
Ulysse

Fast, abstract and crossing over to the burlesque, Ulysses as choregraphed by Jean-Claude Gallotta entered as a dance legend in 1981. He needed all the teaching talent and creative inventiveness of Josette Baïz to ease into this cult score with the young dancers of Group Grenade. Ulysses is modernised by the children, a veritable temporal electric shock which ought to reanimate the rough charm of the work’s joyful energy, constantly ffluid, transported by the repetitive music of Henry Torgue and Serge Houppin.

Initially a dancer for Jean-Claude Gallotta, Josette Baïz founded the Group and then the Grenade Company in a leap of choreographic cross-fertilization.
